Location: Baudour, Belgium

The client is an internationally well-known contractor who operate in the UK, Central Europe, UAE and America. Turnover this year of this main contractor was over £1.5 billion specialists in fit-out, technology, construction and development deliver.

You'll work locally to Baudour acting as the first point of contact for HR, providing day to day advice and administration to the local team. You will be building up key relationships with stakeholders, maintain confidentiality at work and reinforce company values. The team you work with is based on trust, shared risk and reward, collaborative decision making, early definition of project goals, risk and opportunities, detailed/integrated and forward thinking planning alongside open and transparent communication.

Some duties are:

Periodically review the working rule agreement and highlight if any required changes to be filed and approved by relevant social partners.

Support line managers in handling conversations in relation to performance, conduct & capability

Support the Head of HR/HRBP to execute any changes to the working rule agreement, as well as creating additional policy and guidance documents, as applicable.

Address general queries from employees regarding UK and Belgium/European policies and procedures. Using initiative to either respond to queries or direct employees to the appropriate subject matter expert i.e. HRBP, Global Mobility, HR Shared Service in the UK, Compliance and Finance etc.

Responsible for all facets of local HR administration in Belgium, including but not limited to; raising employment offers, processing new starter documentation, employee promotions, transfers, reward and recognition changes and leaver documentation.

Update and maintain the HR Database with new starters, leavers and employee changes. Ensuring all manual and electronic employee records are kept up to date.

Conduct 12-week HR Probationary reviews (for secondees) and 12-week Catch-Up reviews (for local employees)

Ensure the monthly payroll is processed timely and accurately and resolve any payroll issues.

Deputise for the HRBP in their absence

Organise and conduct new starters inductions.

What you'll need:

You'll be qualified within HR and have experience within a HR Advisor capacity with a solid understanding of Belgium and European employment legislation. You will be have a keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy in delivery a high-quality service. Preferably French and English speaking.
