The Company

An award winning regional contractor has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Their focus includes design and build, traditional method within the public sector frameworks around the North West area.

The Role

They are recruiting for a Site Manager with a proven track record of supporting the construction and completion of and projects between £4M - £10M on time and budget and to the highest Health and Safety standards.

The first project you will be managing is a new build which is due to commence on site around late September. It is small leisure center and football pitches, reduce level dig, steel frame, cladding and all other associated works. You will be supported by a Site Engineer and a Contracts who will attend site once a week. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of the project within the set budget and required standard.

  • Start meetings / Progress Meetings / Client Meetings
  • Daily management of site works and organisation of subcontractors
  • Ensuring compliance with the health and safety Management Plan
  • Keeping a site diary including records of subcontractor attendance and progress
  • Ensuring that appropriate quality records are being produced and monitored to verify that the works are being completed in accordance with the specified requirements

About You

To be considered for this role you must have extensive new build experience and be expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of the construction management role, procurement and management of subcontractors. You will also and have a proven track record of hitting targets and achieving high scores in health and safety and environmental management.

  • Proven track record working for a regional / National contractor
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and methodically plan the works safely and efficiently
  • Confident in the use of IT packages and open to learning new systems
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivation with energy and drive.
  • HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent or a trades background
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid At Work

The Opportunity

For your skills and experience are client are looking at paying around £45,000 Plus package which includes Car Allowance, Private Health Care, Excellent Pension to name a few. Whilst working away you will also be given a living allowance plus accommodation will be paid for locally to the project.
